Women's Ministry

Even under the constant shadow of war, God is writing a beautiful story among the women of Kharkiv — a story of strength, healing, and spiritual awakening. While bombs fall and lives are uprooted, hearts are being restored by the gentle, unstoppable work of the Holy Spirit.

Women’s ministry in times of war is not a luxury — it is essential. Women often carry the emotional and spiritual burdens of their families and communities. They are mothers comforting children in basements during air raids, daughters caring for elderly parents, and wives holding on to faith while husbands are at the front lines. Amid such unimaginable weight, women need a space to be seen, heard, and lifted — and that is exactly what our ministry seeks to offer.

By God’s grace, our ministry continues to grow and flourish:

  • Our women’s Bible study groups are thriving, becoming places of spiritual refuge and deep connection — uniting both longtime believers and those who are just beginning to seek the Lord.

  • This spring, we launched a new study called “Christianity Basics”, created especially for women who are exploring the Christian faith for the first time. Many of them come with questions, wounds, and uncertainty — and they leave with Scripture, encouragement, and the seeds of new life.

  • Through special outreach events, we’ve seen the love of Christ touch many nonbelieving women — offering them not just comfort, but a new and living hope. These gatherings serve as powerful testimonies to the grace that sustains in times of sorrow and the joy that overcomes fear.

We are thankful for Erna, who leads these ministries with faithfulness, humility, and wisdom. Her example reflects the beauty of gospel-centered womanhood in action — a life poured out for others in the name of Christ.

Please pray with us:

  • That more women would come and find not just friendship, but salvation.

  • That those already in Christ would grow in strength, courage, and maturity.

  • That through these women, families and communities would be transformed.

Women’s ministry is discipleship, mission, and mercy — all at once. It is God’s way of renewing brokenness with beauty, even in a city at war.
